Day Trip From Kansas City

Travel is not just a luxury, it is necessity. How about a day trip from Kansas City? As we move away from COVID and find new ways to navigate the new "normal" of life we all have made changes in our habits. I feel a great shift in how people consider travel and down time as a key factor.

I’m a child of the 80’s. We were taught to work, work, work all your life and if you plan well at retirement, you can enjoy the fruits of your labor. Egads!! What were we thinking!!  I’ve seen younger generations that have adopted a work smarter not harder life style and take time off lifestyle… I think they are onto something. But like everyone else I also see them working more and more hours and not setting life boundaries.

Travel for a lot of people is something that just never seems to happen. Not necessarily due to cost, but due to overwhelming lives, due to job demands, life demands. And all the things that keep us just dreaming.

What would it look like to you to have some time off. How will that feel? Will you return to your life feeling refreshed? Absolutely!  Will the boss, spouses, even kids start to see that this time off is super important to our well-being? Yes, for sure.

What if we took that day trip from Kansas City?

Sure, there is a lot to see and do here in our amazing city, but how about just one day tour to Topeka KS? Topeka is home to the State Capitol. The tour guides there do a great job walking us through the halls of the capitol, exploring events of the past and observing the architecture and art history of the beautiful building. If you’re really feeling it, you can spend your free time there walking up 296 steps of the spiral staircase to the top.  Check out the view!

Topeka also has the Combat Air Museum. This Museum has 43 aircraft, mostly military (mostly American), representing World War I to the present day (especially jets from the 1950s to the 1980s), plus various aircraft engines, military vehicles and other military displays.

There are many destinations in Topeka. Check out our Single Day Adventure trip from Kansas City to the Evel Keneval and Mulvan Museum listed on our Ready-To-Go tours page.
