Kansas City’s Sculpture Garden & Contemporary Art Tour
Art & Garden Tour
Garden Art & Fountains Tour
Where World-Class Art Meets Kansas City’s Natural Beauty
Nelson-Atkins Museum in not just about what’s inside the building. The real show is the – million-dollar sculptures scattered across 22 acres like an outdoor treasure hunt, plus the history and stories how Kansas City’s most beautiful public space came to be.
Starting at the stunning Kauffman Memorial Garden, we’ll explore art that most visitors only drive by. You’ll discover why that massive shuttlecock isn’t just lawn decoration, learn about Thomas Hart Benton’s surprising teaching stint at the Art Institute and pause to visit the inside of Kemper Contemporary Museum.
This is my personal favorite tour – the perfect blend of outdoor exploration and cultural discovery that shows Kansas City’s sophisticated side.
