Where World-Class Art Meets Kansas City’s Natural Beauty

Nelson-Atkins Museum in not just about what’s inside the building. The real show is outside.

Starting at the Kauffman Memorial Garden, we’ll explore art that most visitors only drive by. You’ll discover why that massive shuttlecock isn’t just lawn decoration, where the sheep are &  learn about Thomas Hart Benton’s surprising teaching stint at the Art Institute and pause to visit the inside of Kemper Contemporary Museum.

This is my personal favorite tour – the perfect blend of outdoor exploration and cultural discovery that shows Kansas City’s sophisticated side.
