Start the day with Coffee and Donuts as we head out to Topeka Kansas to see the Combat Air and Space Museum. We will catch a local restaurant for lunch before heading to the State Capitol. A guided tour and the option to climb the 296 stairs to the top of the dome for an amazing view from above.
The Combat Air Museum has served as an educational institution and tourism destination for close to forty years. It is one of a handful of major aviation museums in the United States located on an active air field.
On exhibit at the Museum:
- 42 aircraft ranging from the earliest aviation period to the present day
- Largest collection of WWI replica aircraft in the Mid-West
- Historic aircraft engines of many sizes and types, including a rare Whittle Gas Turbine Engine. An extensive display of artifacts and dioramas and a growing gallery of military aviation art
Departure is 8:00 am. Groups scheduling this tour will determine the pick up location. We will come to you!
This tour would be medium to strenuous as there is quite a bit of walking. The climb to the top of the dome is 296 steps. (the dome tour is optional) please call ahead with other questions.
